Just a call away Modi and Obama

Narendra Modi joins an exclusive club of world leaders to have direct access to the President of the United States. The famous “Hotline” which was set up during the cold war between the US and USSR has had a complete transformation over the years as US has now established direct lines with main strategic partners.
A Washington spokesperson has confirmed that a hotline has now been established between India and the US, between the President and the Prime Minister as well as security advisors. The Hotline hasn’t been used yet.  Modi is only the 4th leader in the world to have such a close connection with the US president.
The other three being, Vladimir Putin of Russia, Le keqiang of China and David Cameron of Britain.

The Hotline is often used only in times of crisis and thus far hasn’t been used. Here’s hoping it isn’t used for a while.In case it is, we hope the conversation is more like this
